While at first it seems a bit jarring, the lineup of new band Tinted Windows, starts to make sense when you think about it: former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha has teamed up with Fountains Of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger, drummer Bun E. Carlos from the legendary Cheap Trick and vocalist/keyboardist Taylor Hanson.

The band will make it live debut at South by Southwest next month, and its debut album has been already recorded at New York's Stratosphere Sound Studios, which Iha and Schlesinger co-own. The album is due this spring.
Hmm..could be a delicious helping of some crunchy power pop. Stay tuned.
