Bye, Conan

Last Friday was the last show for Late Night with Conan O'Brien, as its host leaves NYC to take over for Jay Leno at The Tonight Show out in Los Angeles. We're going to miss the wackiness and great musical guests that made the show a late night institution over the last 16 years. We wish Conan all the best and hope he won't let the mainstream schlockiness of the show he's about to inherit overcome him too much. Especially, if his replacement sucks.

Speaking of sucking, Conan's final guest were The White Stripes, who in their first performance since the cancelled Icky Thump tour, played a guitar duet version of "We're Going to Be Friends." So, wow, Meg White sucks at more than one instrument. Jeez. When is Jack White gonna drop this deadweight and concentrate fully on The Raconteurs?

Guess the money's too good, huh?
