Plant Nixes Zeppelin Reunion Tour, Album Rumors

According to his own website, vocalist Robert Plant "has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years," putting the kibosh on the rampant speculation surrounding an impending Led Zeppelin tour and new album. Meanwhile there has been much talk of guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones--who have been rehearsing along with drummer Jason Bonham, son of original Zep skinsman John Bonham--taking a page out of the Queen playbook and replacing Plant with another vocalist, if he were to opt out of touring, which he seems to have formally done at this point. The band's future plans have been the focus of much talk ever since the resounding success of their one-off reunion last December in London.

But the mighty Zep do have an upcoming release on the horizon: a 10-disc box set including all nine studio albums and the odds and sodds disc Coda in lavish, detailed "mini-LP replica sleeves with artwork from the original U.K. vinyl releases," with a Nov. 4th street date, according to Billboard.
