Hello, Cleveland!
The nine nominees for induction next year--in addition to the aforementioned metal gods Metallica, and pioneering hip-hop trio Run DMC--are guitarist Jeff Beck, singer Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, War, Bobby Womack, and R&B group Chic. Five will be selected and inducted on April 4th, 2009, in Cleveland.
Better luck next time to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bon Jovi (WTF?!) who didn't make the ballot this time out.
