According to Rolling Stone, R&B soulstress Alicia Keys will sing the theme song to the next James Bond flick, which will be written and produced by The White Stripes/The Raconteurs' singer/guitarist Jack White.
Here’s the thing: we're fans of neither one of these people—our partiality to The Raconteurs is in large part due to Brendan Benson, whose solo albums we own—but with music fans and tastes so segregated these days, it’s, at the very least, a positive thing to see people from two different styles of music collaborating. There’s a very good chance we won’t like whatever they end up concocting, but hey…
Also, Keys—WARNING! Red blooded, heterosexual male alert!—is hot and can actually sing AND play an instrument, so while we may not want to partake of what she has to offer musically, better her than the dozens of Britney Spears-type pop tarts out there, any day.
