Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was assaulted onstage Sunday night by an unidentified man who forcibly pushed him to the ground and then went for frontman Liam Gallagher before being restrained by security and members of the band's crew. You would think, after the tragic Dimebag Darrell incident, this sort of thing would be more under control. Jeez.
The band, who at the time of the brief scuffle were performing "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" at Toronto's Virgin Festival, returned to the stage some 5 minutes after the fracas and played "Don't Look Back in Anger". Nice.
