Reality shows are basically the province of those without any discernable talent but possessed by an unyielding hunger to be famous; and former celebrities who, for the most part, would have to otherwise go back to regular day jobs. And while failures are amply documented on these shows—much to the glee of show producers and viewers alike—the participants accept these instances of collapse and disappointment as part of the deal, not as the desired end result. But leave it to the blogosphere to come up with a twist on the concept: For Those Who Tried to Rock. Subtitled “A Where Are They Now? for those who never were, then”
FTWTR is a site devoted to documenting the dashed hopes and dreams of those who once decided to pay tribute to the rock gods but whose prayers went unanswered.
