The great Bo Diddley has passed away from heart failure at his home in Archer, FL, after suffering a heart attack and a stroke last year. The rock and roll founding father and pioneer, who took the clave--the cornerstone of Afro-Cuban music--and made it into his own signature "Bo Diddley beat," was 79.
