The new Weezer album--another self-titled release, this time with a red backdrop--has been given a 4.7 rating by the folks at Pitchfork. And from what we've heard of the album that may be the fairest rating the fickle, hipster-beloved site may have given in recent times. Wait--did we just defend Pitchfork? As John Lennon once sang "Strange days, indeed. Most peculiar, Mama."
