Ain’t Talking About Love

Van Halen’s first tour with frontman David Lee Roth in over 20 years hit some bumps along the way—namely scheduling problems due to health concerns regarding Eddie Van Halen, which included a stint in rehab—but when they wrapped up the 74-date jaunt on Monday, June 2nd in Grand Rapids, MI, it had grossed close to $100 million and they had played for almost a million fans. And you thought a cold day in hell would be in the forecast before the mighty VH ever roared with Diamond Dave again. Shame on you. Heh, heh.

As for future plans involving Van Halen 4.0, the release of a live DVD is the only confirmed project. Hopefully the disc will be worth the wait since there are no official live releases—audio or visual—documenting the band's '70s/'80s heyday with David Lee Roth.
