According to the widow Love, in the last 5 years thieves have been buying cars, writing bad checks, collected almost 200 credit cards and even bought a mansion in New Jersey (!) under the Cobain name. Why Courtney chose to inform the authorities about this just last week, when she acknowledges she's known about the scams since 2003, is not clear.
