Zune, Microsoft's answer to the iPod, is leaving its users in the dust. According to a report in Wired, the acclaimed 30 GB, 3.0 MP3 player has been affected by some sort of glitch or bug that's causing the unit to permanently crash.
Initially, Microsoft acknowledged the problem but offered no solution. The company later admitted that rumors of the device's internal clock not being set up for leap years--as was 2008--was the cause of the problem. According to Wired, some users "have fixed the problem by disconnecting the battery (which requires opening the case) or waiting for it to run out of power and then recharging it." Microsoft says the issue should be sorted out by today.
One more reason why we're of the Apple/Mac persuasion.
