Figuring they better hire one of those damn computer kids that knows how to work these crazy things, EMI is the first of the major labels to bring on board a high profile computer nerd by hiring Google's senior director of information systems, Douglas Merrill,as company president. Interesting: Merrill is leaving a so-called 21st century company for one whose business plan is routinely considered out of date and obsolete in the media. Let’s see what happens…
