Alice in Chains to Enter Studio in October

'90s Seattle heavyweights Alice in Chains will begin recording a new studio album--their first since 1995--next month. The band--guitarist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney, bassist Mike Inez, and new vocalist William DuVall--convened in Los Angeles in late July/early August to rehearse and go over new material for an upcoming studio release.

After a decade-long hiatus, Alice in Chains re-formed in 2006 with DuVall taking over for the late Layne Stayley, who passed away in 2002.
